How to edit subtitles
Easily modify, translate, download, or delete your captions and transcripts

Step 1:

Find the weet you whose transcript you want to edit by clicking the pencil icon on the Transcript tab to the right.

Step 2:

Once you are at the Transcript page you have several options.

Option A:

Create a new transcript by clicking "New subtitles"

Option B:

Edit an existing transcript. For each separate translation you can:

Modify

Edit the transcript of this particular translation

Translate

Translate this transcript into additional languages

Setup

Change the transcript title

Download

Download the SRT file of your transcript

Delete

Delete your transcript


Step 1

Open the menu on the bottom right corner of the subtitles you wish to edit. Select Modify,

Step 2

On the left half of the "Validate Subtitles" screen, select a line of text at a time to edit. Check text carefully as it is automatically generated and may contain errors.

Step 3

On the right half of the "Validate Subtitles" screen, select any section to drag the handles on either side to change the duration. This will determine when the selected captions appear in your video.

Step 4

When your edits are complete, click "Validate Subtitle" in the top right corner.

Open the menu on the bottom right corner of the subtitles you wish to translate. Select Translate,

Select any language from dozens of options in the dropdown menu, then click "Launch Translation".

Step 3

Edit any of your new translations by following steps 2-4 for Modify above.

Open the menu on the bottom right corner of the subtitles you wish to edit. Select Setup,

Rename your subtitles label and choose the original language here. Click "Validate" when you are all done!

Open the menu on the bottom right corner of the subtitles you wish to download. Select Download,

An SRT file of your transcript will automatically be saved to your device.

Open the menu on the bottom right corner of the subtitles you wish to edit. Select Delete,

Step 2

A pop-up will confirm that you want to delete this transcript. Select "Cancel" to cancel or "Validate" to permanently delete this transcript.
